Summary

The progestin STS 557 was tested for mutagenio activity in the rec-type repair test with Proteus mirabilis, the Ames-test and the host-mediated assay with Salmonella typhimurium the cytogenetic assays with ascites tumour and bone-marrow cells of mice and the dominant lethal test with male and female mice. All results obtained indicate the absence of a genotoxic activity of STS 557.
