Summary
Secale would appear initially to have helped her lassitude, diarrhoea, formication, calf cramps, and above all her apathy, restoring to her a sense of well-being. The further marked improvement that followed the therapeutic trial of increasing her dose of carbimazole suggests that she was still slightly thyrotoxic, and the indicated homœopathic medicine was not sufficient on its own. This case illustrates that homœopathic medicines can be of benefit when taken concurrently with conventional drugs.
