Significance

A new enantioselective Brønsted acid catalyzed multiple-reaction cascade is reported. Each step is catalyzed by the same chiral phosphate 1. Various tetrahydropyridines and azadecalinones with different aromatic and aliphatic substituents were obtained in good yields with high enantioselectivities (er up to 99.5:0.5). The constitution and the absolute configuration were determined by X-ray crystal structure analysis.
