Zusammenfassung

Es wird über einen Patienten mit Morbus Wilson berichtet, bei dem es unter langjähriger Therapie mit D-Penicillamin zu einer Rückbildung des Kayser-Fleischer-Ringes im Lidspaltenbereich kam. Mögliche Mechanismen der Ringrückbildung bzw. der teilweisen Ringrückbildung werden diskutiert.

Summary

The disappearance of a Kayser-Fleischer ring induced by the administration of penicillamine (D-penicillamine) for 17 years ist described. The ring disappeared only in the lateral and medial portions leaving superior and inferior crescents. Possible mechanisms of this partial regression of the ring are discussed.
