Das basozelluläre Lidkarzinom

Zusammenfassung

In den Jahren 1971 bis 1981 wurde bei 278 Patienten der Augenklinik in Zagreb an den Augenlidern ein basalzelluläres Karzinom festgestellt und operativ entfernt. Meist fand sich der Tumor im Gebiet des Canthus. Das Alter der Patienten lag zumeist zwischen dem 60. und 70. Lebensjahr. Das Gebiet des Tumors betrug in vielen Fällen im Durchmesser 10-20 mm. Nach der Operation wurde bei etwa 6,4% der Fälle ein Rezidiv beobachtet. Dies entspricht den Prozentzahlen für Rezidive, die in der Literatur vorliegen.

Summary

Between 1971 and 1981, 278 patients had histologically proved basal cell carcinomas removed from the eyelid region at the University Ophthalmologic Clinik in Zagreb. They had notes available for follow-up study. The highest incidence was at the medial canthus. The peak incidence was between 60 and 70 years. Most of the lesions were between 10 and 20 mm in diameter. A recurrence rate of 6.4 during an average follow-up period of between 3 and 5 years for cases of basal cell carcinomas treated with primary surgery is in general agreement with the figures reported in other series.
