Zusammenfassung
Eine 36jährige Patientin kam mit einer monströsen Schwellung des Augenlides, der Wange und des Halses zu uns. Die Ursache blieb zunächst unklar. Im Kernspintomogramm fand sich schließlich ein großer subgalealer Abszeß. Eine kleine Platzwunde war der Grund, weshalb der Abszeß entstanden war.
Summary
A 36 year-old female patient presented with a massive swelling of the eyelid, cheek, and neck. We could not explore any cause for those swellings. Finally, magnetic resonance imaging of the head showed a huge subgaleal abscess. It was caused by minor scalp trauma.
