Abstract

We report the rapid spontaneous resolution of a small extradural haematoma (EDH) in a 19-month-old child. The haematoma was managed conservatively. The child went on to make a full recovery. The authors discuss the significance of this surprising clinical finding.

Zusammenfassung

Wir berichten über die schnelle spontane Auflösung eines kleinen extraduralen Hämatoms (EDH) bei einem 19 Monate alten Kind. Das Hämatom wurde konservativ behandelt. Das Kind erholte sich vollständig. Die Autoren diskutieren die Bedeutung dieses überraschenden klinischen Befundes.
