Maternal intravenous administration of thyrotropin releasing hormone (TRH) is associated
with rapid elevations of blood pressure, potentially causative of cerebrovascular
accidents. We report a case in which peak blood pressure of 220/120 mm Hg was attained
from a baseline of 132/80 mm Hg following TRH administration in a preeclamptic patient.
