Positive Effekte der Akupunktur in der Geburtsvorbereitung

In den letzten Jahren erfreut sich die Akupunktur in allen medizinischen Bereichen wachsender Beliebtheit. Auch in der europäischen Geburtshilfe findet sie seit einigen Jahren vermehrt Anwendung. Studien zum Nutzen der Akupunktur in der Geburtshilfe sind jedoch nur in einstelliger Zahl vorhanden und wurden bis auf eine Publikation aufgrund formaler Mängel aus dem Cochrane-Review 2003 ausgeschlossen [6].

In einer eigenen Studie untersuchten wir deshalb die Wirksamkeit der Akupunktur auf die Verkürzung der Geburtsdauer.
