Salvage of a Radial Forearm Flap Transferred onto a By-Pass Graft with Conversion from a High-to-Low-Resistance Circulatory Pattern: Case Report

ABSTRACT

With a radial forearm flap, a flow-through flap can be designed to help decrease overall resistance, if an adequate distal arterial target is available. When this is not possible, creation of an arteriovenous fistula is an option to salvage a high-resistance flap transferred onto a high-flow arterial system.
