Zusammenfassung

Die zunehmende Anzahl von Expeditionen und Reisen in entfernte Länder und Gebiete stellt neue Herausforderungen an Arzt und Technik. Eine gründliche Vorbereitung ist unabdingbar und oft lebensrettend.

Abstract

An increasing number of expeditions and treks are exploring Europe and the rest of the world. The welfare of the travellers is often in the hands of an advising or accompanying doctor. Sufficient preparation and risk assessment is necessary and often lifesaving.
