Funktionelle Anatomie der Akupunkturpunkte Dickdarm 4 (Di4, Hegu) und Magen 36 (Ma36, Zusanli)

Zusammenfassung

Di4 und Ma36 lassen sich präparatorisch und histologisch jeweils als ein die oberflächliche Körperfaszie perforierendes Gefäß-Nervenbündel darstellen. Beide Punkte haben eine breite Präsenz im Rückenmark. Di4 hat Anschluss an den kompletten Plexus brachialis, Ma36 an den Plexus lumbosacralis. Damit stellen beide Punkte einen Informationsfilter für alle afferenten und efferenten Bahnen des Rückenmarks dar. Ihr Anschluss an die parasympathischen Kerngebiete in Rückenmark und Gehirnstamm prädestiniert sie zur Kontrolle des Sympathikus. Erkenntnistheoretisch lassen sich daraus naturwissenschaftliche Beziehungen zum Denken in der traditionellen chinesischen Medizin ziehen.

Abstract

Anatomical preparation and histological examination reveal the acupoints LI4 and St36 to be nerve-vessel bundles perforating the superficial fascia of the body. Both points have broad representation in the spinal cord. LI4 is connected to the complete brachial plexus and St36 is connected to the whole lumbosacral plexus. These relations enable the points to function as information filters for all afferent and efferent nerve paths within the spinal cord. Their connections to parasympathetic areas of the brain stem and spinal cord predestine these points for the control of the sympathetic nervous system. From the standpoint of cognitive theory, a bridge between this and the thinking in traditional Chinese medicine does indeed exist.
