Cardiovascular Management of ARDS

ABSTRACT

The acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) is often thought of as a pulmonary disease yet death most often occurs due to multiple system organ failure (MSOF).[1] [2] The cardiovascular system plays a key role in the evolution of multiple organ involvement and is, itself, a frequently involved organ system.
