Durch die Anwendung meditativer Bewegungstherapien wie Yoga, Tai Chi und Qi Gong können positive Auswirkungen auf verschiedene körperliche und mentale Gesundheitsaspekte erzielt werden. In diesem Zusammenhang wird auch die Eignung des ergänzenden oder sogar primären Einsatzes dieser Therapien bei der Behandlung psychischer Erkrankungen vermehrt diskutiert und wissenschaftlich untersucht.
