Summary

The influence of interventions of physical and sports activity at the workplace on the mental health of employees: A systematic review

Workplace requirements and thus psychological stress on workers have increased in the recent past. Studies have shown that physical and sporting activity can alleviate this trend. The aim of this work is to provide a systematic overview of studies that investigated the impact of interventions of physical and sports activity in the workplace on the mental health of employees. Five of the ten studies showed a positive effect on mental health, whereby a positive effect was especially exhibited by interventions that took place at least three times per week.
