Zusammenfassung

Ob eine muskuloskeletale Dysfunktion der Halswirbelsäule tatsächlich Schwindel auslösen kann, wird kontrovers diskutiert. Zu dieser Fragestellung existieren verschiedene Erklärungsmodelle. Unter anderem könnte eine Störung der propriozeptiven Information aus den oberen Segmenten oder den tiefen Flexoren der Halswirbelsäule eine Rolle bei der Entstehung des Schwindels spielen. Der Artikel gibt einen Überblick über die bestehenden Hypothesen und stellt Tests zur Differentialdiagnostik vor.
