Summary

A curve named “self-coagulogram” and obtained by means of the “self thromboplastin-prothrombin time” is described. The beginning of the curve reflects clot formation dynamics, while the tail reflects the fibrinolytic activity. The self-coagulogram helps the detection of hemorrhagic syndromes, the evaluation of anticoagulant therapy and fibrinolytic activity, natural or induced. It is a very simple and practical method.
