Zusammenfassung

Die Letalität des Myokardinfarkts ist heute durch rechtzeitige Verabreichung von Thrombolytika vom Typ der Plasminogenaktivatoren oder Durchführung einer Koronarangioplastie zurückgegangen. Bei der thromboly tischen Behandlung akuter thrombotischer Ereignisse wird allerdings auch der Oxidansphysiologie Rechnung getragen werden müssen, um durch den Einsatz hierauf zielender Therapeutika den Reperfusionsschaden am Gewebe weiter zu begrenzen.

Zur Vermeidung von ReperfusionsSchäden wird zukünftig eine effiziente Fibrinolysetherapie wahrscheinlich eine antientzündliche Begleitkomponente beinhalten. Substanzen mit bislang vermeintlich klarem klinischen Wirkungsprofil, wie Azetylsalizylsäure, Dipyridamol, Captopril, Heparin oder Kalziumantagonisten, könnten durchaus auf diese Weise ihren Teil zur therapeutischen Wirkung bei Ischämie/Reperfusion beitragen.
