Summary

Infusion for 90 min of 10 ml brain lipid extract brought thrombin generation and prothrombin consumption levels in uremic patients to normal for 3 h. After quick injection of the same doses (within 3 min) the effect lasted less than l1/2h. Control subjects produced hypercoagulability with the same treatment. The results of these clinical experiments, obtained with 12 subjects, were shown by analysis of variance to be statistically significant.
