Neue Arzneimittel für Pferde und landwirtschaftliche Nutztiere 2007/2008

Zusammenfassung

Im Jahr 2008 kamen für Pferde und landwirtschaftliche Nutztiere zwei neue Wirkstoffe auf den deutschen Markt. Dabei handelt es sich um Peforelin (Maprelin®), dem ersten für Schweine zugelassenen GnRH-Analogon, und Deslorelin (Ovuplant®), dem zweiten für Stuten zugelassenen GnRH-Analogon. Ein weiterer Wirkstoff erhielt bereits im Jahr 2007 eine Tierartenerweiterung. So ist das Antikokzidium Toltrazuril, das seit einigen Jahren für Hühner, Puten und Schweine zur Verfügung steht, als Baycox® Bovis jetzt auch für Kälber zugelassen. Des Weiteren kamen zwei Präparate mit einer interessanten neuen Darreichungsform und drei Arzneimittel mit einer neuen Formulierung für Pferde und landwirtschaftliche Nutztiere auf den Markt.

Summary

In 2008, two new active pharmaceutical ingredients were released on the German market for horses and food producing animals. These are Peforelin (Maprelin®), the first GnRH analog for pigs and Deslorelin (Ovuplant®), the second GnRH analog for mares. Already in 2007, one substance has been approved for additional species. The antiprotozoal Toltrazuril which has been available for hens, turkeys and pigs for several years, is now, as Baycox® Bovis, also authorised for calves. Furthermore, two new preparations with an interesting new pharmaceu - tical form and three drugs with a new formulation were added to the market for horses and food producing animals.
