Zusammenfassung
Die Oligoarthritis ist die häufigste Form der juvenilen idiopathischen Arthritis. Per Definition sind in den ersten sechs Krankheits -monaten nur maximal vier Gelenke betroffen. Klassischerweise sind das die großen Gelenke der unteren Extremität. Mädchen sind häufiger betroffen als Jungen. Der typische Krankheitsbeginn liegt im Kleinkindes -alter. Die Prognose ist insgesamt als gut anzusehen. Bei einer Progression mit Übergang in einen polyartikulären Verlauf oder beim Auftreten einer Uveitis ist jedoch das Risiko von Folgeschäden vorhanden.
Summary
Oligoarthritis is the most common subtype of juvenile idiopathic arthritis. By definition there have to be not more than four inflamed joints within the first six month of the disease and most likely these are the big joints of the lower extremity. There are more girls affected than boys. Typically the disease onset is in early childhood. Prognosis seems to be good. In case of progression to a polyarticular course or occurring uveitis there is a risk for secondary damage.
