Therapie der Essstörung durch Emotionsregulation

Emotionsregulation bezeichnet alle Fertigkeiten und Strategien, die dazu eingesetzt werden, Emotionen gezielt zu beeinflussen oder den Einfluss von Emotionen auf Verhalten zu modifizieren.

Die Therapie der Essstörung durch Emotionsregulation geht davon aus, dass fehlende Fertigkeiten in der Emotionsregulation ein wesentlicher aufrechterhaltender Mechanismus der Essstörung ist.

Im Mittelpunkt der Therapie stehen die Vermittlung und das Einüben von Selbstmanagement-Tools, Aufbau eines angemessenen Essverhaltens, Emotionsmanagement, Training interpersoneller Fertigkeiten, Achtsamkeit und Akzeptanz sowie Stresstoleranz.
