Zusammenfassung

Hintergrund: Das „Umfassende ICF Core Set für Kopf-Hals-Tumore (KHT)“ basiert auf der Anwendung der Internationalen Klassifikation der Funktionsfähigkeit, Behinderung und Gesundheit (ICF).

Ziel: Ziel der Studie war herauszufinden, welche ICF-Kategorien des ICF Core Sets für KHT Physiotherapeuten berücksichtigen und mit welchen Messverfahren sie diese im klinischen Alltag erfassen.

Methode: Deutschsprachige Physiotherapeuten mit Expertise in der Behandlung von KHT-Patienten wurden anhand der Delphi-Methode nach adäquaten Messinstrumenten bezüglich der relevanten ICF-Kategorien befragt.

Ergebnisse: Bei der physiotherapeutischen Behandlung von KHT-Patienten berücksichtigten Physiotherapeuten insgesamt 43 ICF-Kategorien aus den 112 ICF-Kategorien des ICF Core Sets für KHT. Zur Überprüfung der Therapieziele erachteten sie 11 Messverfahren als sinnvoll.

Schlussfolgerungen: In der funktionellen Tumornachsorge bei KHT behandeln Physiotherapeuten zwar wesentliche Aspekte (ICF-Kategorien), setzen jedoch kaum validierte Messmethoden und Instrumente ein.

Abstract

Background: The “Comprehensive ICF Core Set for Head and Neck Cancer (HNC)” refer to the application of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF).

Objective: The aim of this study was to identify which HNC-ICF core sets physiotherapists apply and which assessment methods they use to gather them in their daily clinical practice.

Method: German speaking physiotherapists with expertise in HNC patients treatment were interviewed concerning appropriate assessment tools for relevant ICF categories by using the Delphi method.

Results: Physiotherapists employ a total of 43 categories of the 112 HNC-ICF core sets in the treatment of HNC patients. They considered 11 assessment methods to be useful for the investigation of therapeutic targets.

Conclusions: Physiotherapists are treating relevant aspects (ICF categories) in functional tumour follow-up care in HNC. However, validated assessment tools are still rarely used.
