Zusammenfassung
In den letzten 20 Jahren zeigte sich in einer Reihe von Experimenten, dass eine gezielte
Förderung induktiven Denkens bei Kindern nicht nur eine Steigerung ihrer induktiven
Leistung, sondern auch ihrer Sprachleistung bewirkt, insbesondere in den Spracherwerbsbereichen,
in denen das Entdecken und Anwenden von Regeln eine entscheidende Rolle spielt. Umgekehrt
konnten Sprachtrainings zwar die Sprachleistung, aber so gut wie nie die induktive
Leistung der Kinder verbessern.
Abstract
During the last 20 years, several series of experiments were conducted in order to
investigate whether fostering inductive reasoning also enhances children’s language
competence. The results show that inductive reasoning training considerably improved
inductive reasoning as well as children’s language competence, but exclusively when
rule detection or comparison of attributes is involved. The use of irregular grammatical
forms did not benefit at all. While language intervention programmes also led to an
enhancement of language competence, this was not the case with inductive reasoning.
The results suggest that the language acquisition system is rather sensitive, not
only for language intervention but also for fostering inductive reasoning skill,
whereas inductive reasoning skill cannot benefit from language interventions.
