Significance
The authors report a highly regioselective ruthenium-catalyzed ortho-arylation and alkenylation of various N-alkyl benzamides with different (hetero)aromatic and alkenyl boronic acids in the presence of silver salts. The corresponding benzamides are obtained in good to very good yield.
