Glaukome sind weltweit eine der häufigsten Erblindungsursachen.

Nach den Leitlinien der European Glaucoma Society (EGS) [7] werden Operationen für die häufigsten Glaukomformen erst nach Ausschöpfen der konservativen Behandlung empfohlen. In weniger entwickelten Ländern dagegen sind sie häufig die erste Wahl.

Nachfolgend sollen die nichtpenetrierenden Verfahren beschrieben und ihr heutiger Stellenwert diskutiert werden.
