Kernaussagen

Die überaktive Blase ist ein Symptomenkomplex, der in den meisten Fällen mit sehr hohem Leidensdruck einhergeht. Es handelt sich um einen Symptomkomplex aus Harndrangsymptomatikmit oder ohne Urge-Inkontinenz, gewöhnlich verbunden mit häufigem Harndrang und Nykturie. Die Diagnosestellung überaktive Blase ergibt sich nach Ausschluss anderer Störungen mit vergleichbarer Symptomatik. Die breite Palette an therapeutischen Optionen ermöglicht vielen Patientinnen eine deutliche Linderung ihrer Beschwerden und die Zunahme ihrer Lebensqualität. Therapieoption der 1. Wahl ist die Behandlung mit Anticholinergika. Bei Versagen dieser Möglichkeit können interventionelle Verfahren wie intravesikale Instillation (im Off-Label-Use), Injektionen mit Botulinumtoxin A (Cave: Blasenentleerungsstörungen) und Methoden der Neuromodulation (niederfrequente Elektrostimulation oder sakrale Neuromodulation) eingesetzt werden.
