Summary

Homeopathy's efficacy, safety, cost effectiveness and lack of interactions with conventional medicines has made it the second most used medical system internationally. Although several double-blind, placebo-controlled trials have concluded it to be superior to placebo, its mechanism of action remains obscure. This article is an attempt to validate the present status of research into the mechanism behind homeopathy.
