Zusammenfassung

Die Blüten und das Kraut von Filipendula ulmaria (L.) Maxim. (Rosaceae; syn.

Summary

Meadowsweet

The flowers and the aerial parts from Filipendula ulmaria (L.) Maxim. (Rosaceae; syn. Spirea ulmaria L.) are an integral part in European phytotherapy and used as a diaphoretic in common colds and for minor artricular pain. The use in these indications as well as in traditional medicine as a diuretic and in gastrointestinal complaints seems plausible due to the data from pharmacological research. This paper gives an overview over the state of research on Filipendulae ulmariae herba and flos.
