Integration von Forschungswissen in die Pflegepraxis – „Evidence-based Nursing“ am Beispiel der Mundpflege

Nierenkranke Patienten zeigen ein vielfach höheres Risiko, an einer Pneumonie zu erkranken, als die Allgemeinbevölkerung. Pflegekräfte sind im Rahmen präventiver Aufgaben verpflichtet, dem Patienten effektive Strategien anzubieten, die die Inzidenz von Pneumonien reduzieren können. „Evidence-based Nursing“ kann als eine Handlungsanleitung verstanden werden, die das Ziel hat, die derzeit besten wissenschaftlichen Belege im Arbeitsbündnis zwischen einzigartigen Pflegebedürftigen und professionell Pflegenden zu integrieren. Anhand der Mundpflege, eine infektionsprophylaktische pflegerische Maßnahme, demonstriert dieser Artikel die Methode des Evidence-based Nursing exemplarisch.

Nephrological patients have a much higher risk of developing a pneumonia than the general population. Nurses have to provide effective strategies in order to reduce the incidence of pneumonia within preventive tasks. Evidence-based nursing can be understood as a recommendation of action. The goal of evidence-based nursing is to integrate the best available evidence with clinical expertise and patient values. Within this article, the method of evidence-based nursing will be demonstrated, using the example of oral care which is a method of infection prophylaxis.
