Significance
The authors report a new dendrimer synthetic approach based on alternating nitrone-mediated radical coupling (NMRC) and copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) reactions. Each nitrone group reacts with two radicals and the resulting alkoxyamine bearing two new functional groups serves as branching point.
