Significance

A short, small-scale synthesis of the antibacterial oxazolidinone drug linezolid (Zyvox®) illustrates the synthetic potential of a new N-arylation reaction involving the Ni(0)-catalyzed coupling of stable and readily accessible O-sulfamates with amines.
