Significance

Tethered rhodium(III)-p-toluenesulfonyl-1,2-diphenylethylendiamine (Rh-TsDPEN) immobilized on hyperbranched polyglycerol (hPG) 2A, PP membrane 2B, and PE sinter chip 2C were prepared from monomeric TsDPEN 1. Polymeric complexes 2 catalyzed the asymmetric transfer hydrogenation of ketones 3 in the presence of HCOONa to afford the corresponding alcohols 4 in up to 100% conversion with up to >99% ee (9 examples).
