Significance

An efficient organo- and gold-catalyzed one-pot synthesis of chiral dihydropyrrole derivatives is reported by Jørgensen and co-workers. The desired products were obtained in good yields and high enantioselectivities through a bifunctional organocatalytic Mannich-type reaction and a gold-catalyzed alkyne hydroamination and isomerization.
