Abstract
In the last years, a variety of integrated interventions for patients with substance abuse and posttraumatic disorders have been developed. The aim of this study was to examine the acceptance of a present-focused treatment program (“Seeking Safety”) among 38 female outpatients with alcohol dependence and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Participant's satisfaction with the content of the treatment, its structure and the session handouts was high. The findings suggest a high acceptance of Seeking Safety among German patients with substance dependence.
