Zusammenfassung

Die Karde ist eine alte, traditionelle Heilpflanze, die ein breites Indikationsfeld aufweist. Die Traditionelle Chinesische Medizin verwendet sie schon lange, und auch in der abendländischen Volksheilkunde ist sie bekannt. Lange fand sie in der Literatur keine Erwähnung mehr und wurde erst in neuerer Zeit wiederentdeckt. Heute wird sie v. a. in der Erfahrungsmedizin zur Behandlung der Borreliose angewendet.

Summary

Common teasel (Dipsacus fullonum L.) is an old traditional herbal plant with a wide range of indications. It has been used for many years in Traditional Chinese Medicine and is also widely renowned in the Western countries. Nonetheless, teasel was hardly mentioned in the literature until after the Modern Age. Nowadays it is used, above all, in experience-based medicine for treating lyme disease.
