Schildkröten – Der Panzer als Spiegel der Gesundheit

Der Schildkrötenpanzer ist das Kennzeichen von Schildkröten und in sehr unterschiedlicher Ausprägung und Form als Schutz insbesondere vor Fressfeinden bei diesen ausgebildet. Das Aussehen des Panzers gibt wertvolle Hinweise auf den Gesundheitszustand des jeweiligen Tieres, kann aber auch Informationen über Alter, Geschlecht, Haltung und überstandene Krankheiten geben.
