50 Jahre Immunoassays

Zusammenfassung

Seit 50 Jahren bilden Immunoassays eine verlässliche laboratoriumsmedizinische Untersuchungsmethode. Verschiedene Immunoassays (RIA, CLIA, ELISA usw.) werden vorgestellt. Welcher Immunoassay bei der Bestimmung einzelner Laborparameter zum Einsatz kommt, muss der für das Labor verantwortliche Arzt in Abhängigkeit von Qualität usw. entscheiden. Wichtig sind Qualitätssicherungsmaßnahmen! In der Gebührenordnung wird nicht zwischen einzelnen Immunoassays unterschieden, sondern das Ergebnis der Analyse wird vergütet – unabhängig vom eingesetzten Immunoassay. Neue Immunoassays werden weiterentwickelt, alte Immunoassays werden verbessert, bzw. weiterentwickelt, sodass auch in Zukunft der Immunoassay fester Bestandteil in der Labordiagnostik sein wird.

Abstract

Since 50 years immunoassays are providing reliable methods for the medical lab. There are different Immunoassay types (RIA, CLIA, ELISA etc.) now available, which are described in the following article. The question, which immunoassay for an relevant lab analyte is used at the end, has to be decided from the responsible lab physician on the basis of quality and other criteria. Very important are measures to assure the quality guidelines! In the reimbursement catalogue there's no differentiation between the Immunoassay types any more, only the result of the analysis will be reimbursed – independent from the immunoassay in routine use. In the future immunoassay will be a firm and essential part in the lab medicine as new immunoassays will be developed and old immunoassays will be improved or enhanced.
