Significance

Polymer-supported nitrosation ­reagents (PS-SNAP, PEG-SNAP, PS-5; SNAP = S-nitroso-N-acetylpenicillamine) were prepared from PS aminomethyl resin or PEG aminomethyl resin in two steps that were used for nitrosation of sec-amines. Thus, the nitrosation of amines 1 was performed with PS-SNAP to give the corresponding N-nitroso products 2 (8 examples, 67-91% conversion).
