Significance

Combinations of L1 or L2 with [Pd(allyl)Cl]₂ or [Pd(cinnamyl)Cl]₂ were found to be highly efficient and general catalyst systems for the Hartwig-Buchwald amination of (hetero)aryl chlorides. L1 and L2 are air-stable.
