Significance

The authors presented a direct, protection-free approach to the synthesis of chiral diarylmethylamines by asymmetric hydrogenation of benzophenone N-H imines. By using commercially accessible, low-cost chiral monodentate phosphoramidite ligands, chiral diarylmethylamine derivates were obtained with high yield and enantioselectivity.
