Significance
The authors have developed a straightforward synthesis of vinyl aziridines from aziridine aldehyde precursors and have demonstrated the synthetic potential of this class of compounds in the synthesis of interesting heterobicyclic frameworks via an elegant cascade approach, building up complexity in a single operation.
