Significance

A cationic titanocene catalyzed the 4-exo cyclization between the epoxide and olefin moieties to form cyclobutane structures. The key success of this reaction is to use the titanocene catalyst as a template and thus turning the intra­molecular cyclization to a transannular cyclization.
