Chiral Anion-Controlled Axial Chirality of Gold(biphep) Complexes

Significance

The authors have reported axial chirality of gold(biphep) complexes by using binaphthol-derived phosphate anions 2 and 3. Both enantiomers of the gold(biphep) complex were obtained in excellent enantioselectivity by simply changing a chiral anion. Furthermore, the authors have applied the enantiopure (S)-1-AuCl to the ­intramolecular hydroamination of allenes.
