Chirurgische Feminisierung und Maskulinisierung der Stimme bei Geschlechtsinkongruenz

Eine Identifikation mit der Stimme bzw. dem eigenen Stimmklang spielt für viele Transgender-Personen eine wesentliche Rolle [1]. Eine Annährung an den angestrebten Stimmklang kann bereits durch nichtoperative Maßnahmen wie funktionelle Stimmtherapie und Hormonbehandlungen erzielt werden. Zudem können in spezialisierten phonochirurgischen Zentren Geschlechts-„bekräftigende“ chirurgische Eingriffe im Larynxbereich durchgeführt werden.

Abstract

Surgical feminization or masculinization of the voice can be performed in gender incongruence and conservatively persistent voice incongruence to improve the passing and quality of life. Phonosurgical pitch-altering procedures modify the length, mass and tension of the vocal folds. In addition to voice therapy and hormone-based interventions, gender-affirming laryngeal surgery is an important part of health care for transgender individuals.

• Die operative Feminisierung bzw. Maskulinisierung der Stimme kann bei Geschlechts- und konservativ persistierender Stimminkongruenz durchgeführt werden, um das Passing und die Lebensqualität zu verbessern.

• Phonochirurgische Tonhöhen-verändernde Eingriffe modifizieren die Länge, Masse und Spannung der Stimmlippen.

• Neben stimmtherapeutischen und hormonbasierten Maßnahmen sind Geschlechts-bekräftigende Kehlkopfoperationen („gender-affirming surgery“) ein wichtiger Bestandteil der Gesundheitsversorgung von Transgender-Personen.
