Significance
A powerful reagent, diazosulfur ylide (Ph2SCN2), is developed, demonstrating the reactivity of sulfur ylide and diazo- compounds, and enables highly efficient formation of various C(sp3)-centered spiro-molecules.
#
Comment
The method allows for the construction of four new C–C or C–N/O bonds surrounding a C(sp3) center in one step, without using any transition-metal catalyst or reagent.
