MRT-Diagnostik bei Achillessehnenerkrankungen

Zusammenfassung
Achillessehnenerkrankungen sind eine häufige Ursache für Schmerzen und Funktionseinschränkungen der unteren Extremität, insbesondere bei sportlich aktiven Patienten oder solchen mit entzündlichen Grunderkrankungen. Die Magnetresonanztomografie (MRT) hat sich als zentrale bildgebende Modalität etabliert, da sie eine differenzierte Beurteilung der Sehnenstruktur, entzündlicher Begleitveränderungen und von Rupturen ermöglicht. Der vorliegende Artikel gibt einen umfassenden Überblick über anatomische Grundlagen, Indikationen, technische Aspekte der MRT sowie typische Bildbefunde bei verschiedenen Pathologien der Achillessehne. Besondere Beachtung finden aktuelle Entwicklungen in der MRT-Technologie sowie praxisrelevante Hinweise zur Interpretation der Bildgebung.
