Sexualität am Lebensende: Einem Tabuthema im palliativen Setting begegnen

Sexualität gehört zu den elementarsten Grundbedürfnissen und ist zentraler Bestandteil unserer Identität und Lebensqualität. Die Weltgesundheitsorganisation betonte bereits 1974, dass Sexualität nicht nur ein biologischer Akt ist, sondern eng mit sozialen, emotionalen und psychologischen Aspekten verbunden ist. Diese Perspektive ist für die Palliativversorgung wichtig, da auch in der letzten Lebensphase das Recht darauf besteht, Sexualität zu erfahren.
