Telemedizin in der Rheumatologie

Zusammenfassung

Durch den wachsenden Einzug der Digitalisierung ergeben sich auch für die Medizin neue Anwendungsmöglichkeiten und Herausforderungen. Die COVID-19-Pandemie hat diese Entwicklung weiter verstärkt und dabei das Themenfeld der Telemedizin zunehmend in den Fokus gerückt. Auch in der Rheumatologie ergeben sich durch den Einsatz der Telemedizin neue Einsatzmöglichkeiten sowohl im Bereich der Diagnostik als auch der Therapieüberwachung und -steuerung. Konkret kommt vor allem der Video- und Telefonsprechstunde, digitalen Applikationen (Gesundheitsapps) und Wearables eine Bedeutung zu.

Abstract

The increasing use of digitalisation is also opening up new opportunities and challenges for medicine. The COVID 19 pandemic has accelerated this development and drawn increasing attention to the field of telemedicine. The application of telemedicine in rheumatology also opens up new possibilities for use in the field of diagnostic testing as well as therapy monitoring and control. Video and telephone consultations, digital applications (health apps) and wearables are of particular importance. This article provides an overview of the new technical possibilities and challenges for the field of rheumatology.
