Frontzahnverlust – komplexe Herausforderungen an Funktion und Ästhetik

COVID-19 hat unser aller Leben entscheidend verändert – sowohl beruflich als auch privat. Sicher ist, dass sich alle Menschen deutlich mehr in der virtuellen Welt aufhalten. Wir erhalten Vorgaben an die Ästhetik durch diese digitale Welt, und hier ist es einfach, vorhandene Defizite durch entsprechende Filter und Software zu korrigieren. Wenn man auf Instagram oder TikTok die jugendlichen Influencer*innen perfekt gestylt sieht, so beinhaltet dies auch ein Lächeln ohne Makel und Defizite. Nun stellt sich die Frage als Behandler, inwieweit man – gerade in der Chirurgie – diese Erwartungshaltung der Patienten bedienen kann. Die weitere Aufklärung hinsichtlich der Eingriffe erfolgt häufig im Vorfeld durch „Dr. Google“, und die sozialen Medien definieren die beschriebene Erwartungshaltung.
